Lord Byng Secondary is a public high school in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is located on West 16th Avenue near Crown Street, close to Pacific Spirit Regional Park and Jericho Beach. Lord Byng is a part of Vancouver School District 39. As of 2017, there are about 1300 students attending the school. Lord Byng offers a variety of academic and extracurricular programs, including Advanced Placement (AP), Career Programs, Athletics, and Visual and Performing Arts. Lord Byng also has a student newspaper, a student government, and a parent advisory council. Lord Byng is named after Julian Hedworth George Byng, the Lord Byng of Vimy, a hero of Vimy Ridge and the Governor General of Canada at the time the school opened in 1925.
