Kitsilano Secondary is a public high school in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is located on West 10th Avenue near Larch Street, close to Kitsilano Beach and Granville Island. Kitsilano Secondary is a part of Vancouver School District 39. As of 2017, there are about 1500 students attending the school. Kitsilano Secondary offers a variety of academic and extracurricular programs, including French Immersion, Pre-Employment, Advanced Placement (AP), Career Programs, Athletics, and Visual and Performing Arts. Kitsilano Secondary also has a student newspaper, a student government, and a parent advisory council. The school mascot is a blue demon and the school colours are blue and gold. Kitsilano Secondary was founded in 1917 and moved to its current building in 1927. The school underwent a major seismic upgrade and renovation project that was completed in 2017.
